Welcome
Welcome to StreetLife, a realistic Canine RPG that currently does not have a plot. We do have three packs, each with thier own interesting plots between them, but nothing sitewide just yet.
Meet Meguel and Anika, our new mascots! Find Anika in IC and she may give you a treat. Watch out for Meguel, he likes to play tricks and take your Karma Points!
Thanks to BladeLiger for drawing up our mascot!

Name: micamoney Member since: Since this site first opened. I don't know when that was. Member of # Boards: 3 Admin/Staff of # Boards: 2 Url to one or more board you are staff/admin on:Click Me! Why you would be good at this job(200 words please): Let's see...This is tough. Not really. I just have to figure out what I am going to say. Well, I've been loyal to the site since its opening. Despite being inactive sometimes, I have remained true to Street Life. I love it here! I decided to try out for this position because I have a very distict knowledge of the rules of Street Life, and, since I have my own site, I can easily perform the locking, moving, and such. And, mica loves doing it! She loves helping in any way possible; it is just part of her bubbly personality that she loves so much.
If you don't choose me for this position, I understand. I thought I would just audition for one of them! Thanks for even considering all of these positions. It helps me because I feel more of an active role in the site. I would have to get on more often because I would be a staff member. That's just how I feel. An Idea or suggestion you have to help us here at SL: I don't really have one. Or at least I cannot think of one right now. What you think is needed in a profile to be accepted(100 words at LEAST): Well, the dog's name definitely has to be in the profile. A creative name. Not something dumb or boring like "Fluffy" or "Sunny." A name that is unique, one that the member thought up himself or herself, or got the name from a different source. Like a book, the internet, a Bible, etc. The dog's gender and breed must be present, as well. That's just a part of being a dog! And gender is very important information on Street Life and on any other RPG. The dog needs to have a fairly good description. Not one just saying that the dog is white with black spots for a dalmation. One going into more detail than that. Saying if the dog has spots on his face. For example, a spot around his eye, a black ear with a white spot, a spot on the tip of his tail. The history is also important. If you know nothing of the dog's past, then how can you figure out its personality, or even its future? And the member must stick with that history, not change it after the dog is accepted. The history gives a hint at the dog's past life, which is helpful when RPing with the dog. And finally, the personality is needed. If the RPer knew nothing of his or her dog's personality, how would he or she RP the dog? The dog would be a blank slate, and the RPer could do whatever he or she wanted with the dog. It could be kind and sweet one minute and a brutal killer the next. That would just cause utter confusion and also cause a bit of disagreement, methinks.
The end! [data]Admin Note: Currently my best choice, will probably be chosen

Name: BladeLiger Member since: Jun 11, 2009 (yeah I’m new to SL) Member of # Boards: 5 Admin/Staff of # Boards: None Url to one or more board you are staff/admin on: Why you would be good at this job(200 words please): Although I am new to Street Life, I have interacted with the admin over other sites. I can quickly learn the rules and have already started to as reading the rules is important for Rping on any site. I have a creative eye and a writers mind and can easily tell if an area had been given enough thought for that specific field. Though I, myself tend to ‘overdo’ it in Character Bios; I remain unbiased and understand that not everyone will write the same as another.
I have applied for many sites, getting accepted into most. I have seen the right and the wrong way to turn down an application and will try to be fair to everyone. I’ve had my own sites, though most were on a different message board type (Avid Gamers mostly), and understand well how to move, lock and unlock threads.
I have a lot of time on my hands and thus I am very active in all the sites I’m a part of. Role play wise, I sometimes forget it’s my turn to post. However I actively check for new members or posts. Even though I am not staff, I like to read. I am not good with coding or fancy html so I have applied for this. I want to help in any way I can. An Idea or suggestion you have to help us here at SL: Im not sure of everything on SL just yet, so I can't think of a suggestion. What you think is needed in a profile to be accepted(100 words at LEAST): Well the basics must be there. Name, Age, Gender, Breed, all needed to help figure out just who and what your character is. The name doesn’t have to be too creative, just put at least some thought into it. For this RP it’d be best to stay away from house pet names. A name should also not conflict with another’s, or have chat speak in it.
Breed is as I have stated, a must. You cant just be some magical cloud dog, you need a breed! The breed must also be allowed on the site. I could explain all but I wont, as most are self explanatory. Basically if it is listed, It must be there to be accepted with maybe the exception of a picture.
The description should give a nice mental image of your character and should be detailed. This would allow people to know what you look like without a picture. In role-playing this vital info and if the description is highly lacking in detail, (no effort put in, two to four lines.) then the Character should not be accepted.
Personality should be well thought out. It defines who your character is. The doesn’t have to be exceptionally long, but not too short. If your character is a bully, elaborate! Why are they a bully? Do they hate someone in particular? Did someone hurt them emotionally? Delve into the emotions your character feels.
History is an odd thing to judge. To me, there should be at least SOME background to your character. If your character has amnesia that’s fine, explain their history but add ‘Doesn’t remember the incident’ etc.. At least two paragraphs for history. (A paragraph at it’s shortest is three sentences, not a big deal.) The history also must fit the site
